PARISH OF KAITAIA

IMPROVED FINANCES THE ANNUAL MEETING HELD [by telegraph OWN correspondent) KAITAIA. Tuesday The annual meeting of the parishioners of the Kaitaia parish was held on Monday evening, when there was a good attendance of church members. The vicar, the Rev. E. Blackwood Moore, presided. The reports presented showed that the finances of the parish were in a better position than had been the case for many years past, the liabilities of the year amounting to only £205. This was largely due to the sum of £IOO having been raised in the queen carnival held during the year, but the church offertories also showed a considerable increase, as did donations and all branches of the church revenue. The following office-bearers were elected: —Vicar's warden, Mr. D. It. Hudson; people's warden, Mr. L. H. Bell; vestry, Mesdames F. Holder, E. Lunn and E. Brent, Messrs. F. Holder, E. Brent, G. Bell, E. J. Bedggood, N. L. Gurr, and two to be appointed by parishioners attending St. John's Church, Awanui; auditor, Mr. W. lioy Langley.

CLAUDELANDS CHURCH ENDOWMENT CLAIM DROPPED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday A resolution to relinquish any claim to the revenue of Lot 50, an area of Hamilton church endowment, was passed at the annual meeting of parishioners of St. Aidnn's Church, Claudelands, last evening. It was explained that St. George's vestry, Frankton, had objected to tho bill constituting St. Aidan's a parochial district. It was felt that the passing of the resolution would remove Frankton's objection. The priest in charge, tho Rev. W. M. Small field, and the wardens presented satisfactory reports on the work of tho parish. The balance-sheet showed that cash in hand stood at £246. Mr. E. G. RoIIo was appointed vicar's warden, and Mr. J. I. Paterson was elected people's warden. The following were elected to the vestry: Messrs. W. H. Blakeway, H. M. Baker, L. Champion, E. V. Stace, E. P. J. Trevena, A. Swarbrick, S. R. S. Seddon, T. J\ Watson, A. J. White and C. G. Morris.
