PARCEL OF EXPLOSIVES

DISCOVERY NEAR RIVER GELIGNITE AND DETONATORS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday A parcel containing 10 plugs of gelignite, 100 detonators, a quantity of fuse, a pair of pliers, and some clothing, was found by Mr. S. Beavan, an employee of the Hamilton Borough Council, near the river path at the end of Gwynne Street, Whitiora. The articles were wrapped in a newspaper dated March 26, and were considerably damaged by rain. The police have received no advice that any such articles are missing.
