Wednesday The Manawatu Trotting Club's annual meeting was concluded to-dav in fine weather. The track was slow after rain on three days. The attendance ffas satisfactory, investments totalled £7479 10s. against £6421 last year. The total for the meeting was £15,238, coin pnred with £12.664 for the 1935 meeting, an increase of £2574. RACING IN SYDNEY WIN FOR PRINCE POMBAL (Received April 22, 9.35 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 22 The New Zealand gelding Prince Pombal was successful in the third division of the Flying Welter Handicap at the Rosebery races to-day. Norman Conquest was second to Narbcthong in the second division of the same event, in which Jutland and Casimir were unplaced. Collstar was second to Sleepmond in the Rosebery Handicap, wherein Palady was fourth. H. Allen, Hamilton. With the object of attracting larger and more even fields, the executivo of the Waikato Trotting Club has decided to ease the limits of three of the races the coming meeting.
