CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING

METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB The Metropolitan Gun Club held its monthly skeet shoot on Saturday afternoon at Mangere. In spite of the unpleasant conditions, there was a good attendance. The first round of won by C. E. Hodge with 19 breaks out of 25 shots, W. C. Whitney being second with 17 breaks, and J. C. Whitney and R. 11. Bartley next with 16 breaks each. A second round was fired, resulting in E. J. Schofield and G. Tarr (Waikato) scoring 21 brenJts each, a record for the club. The next best .were E. T. Wilson and J. Dobson, who secured 18 breaks, and A. L. Byrne and W. Nicholson, 17 breaks.
