METHODIST WOMEN

A representative gathering of members from the various branches of the Auckland M.ethodist Women's Missionary Auxiliary assembled in the Pitt Street schoolroom for the Easter meeting. Mrs. A. White, the president, welcomed the Rev. A. H. Scrivin, general secretary of the foreign mission department. Mr. Scrivin, who recently returned from an extended tour of the Western Solomons, recounted ,Jiis impressions of the work being carried on in the mission field. During the afternoon the sacred solos "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" and "Lead Mo To Calvary" were sung by Miss Glad3's Brooke. The Easter offering, which was dedicated by Mrs. A. Armitage, the president of the Mount Eden branch auxiliary, amounted to £B2 12s 9d.
