TE AWAMUTU CLUB ELECTION OF OFFICERS [from our own correspondent] TE AWAMUTU. Tuesday The annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Rugby Football Club was presided over by Mr. R. S. Sinclair. The report and. statement of finances, which disclosed a deficit of 63 6d, were adopted. The president of the Waipa Rugby Union, Mr. J. G. Wynyard, attended with a view to explaining some of the points of the Taranaki schepie to be intrcduced this season. He mentioned that Waipa would have two teams competing, which would ensure a home game in Te Awamutu every Saturday for 14 weeks. The election of officers resulted ai follows Patron, Mr. F. Quinn; president, Mr. G. B. Melrose; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. T. North, J. B. Hutchinson, J. D. Shea, A. S. Wallace and K. N. Hiskins; secretary, Mr. R. S. Sinclair; club captain, Mr. N. Cairns; delegates to Waipa Rugby Union annual meeting, Messrs. G. B. Melrose and G. Reynolds; delegates to management committee. Mr. G. Reynolds; senior team manager and selector, Mr. N. Cairns; junior manager, Mr. T. Dalziell; third grade manager, Mr. W. Young; fourth grade manager, to be appointed by the executive if necessary; delegates to junior advisory board, Mr. W. Young; auditor, Mr. A. A. Reese. Practice games will be played on. April 18. The meeting placed on record its keen appreciation of the long and valued services to the club given by Mr. G. Reynolds, who for years has been the club delegate to the Waipa Rugby Union. Mr. Reynolds was unanimously elected a life member of the club.
