WOMAN'S TERRIBLE ORDEAL SEVEN HOURS IN WATER FRTSBANE. April G Thrown from a canoe into rough seas with the man she was engaged to marry, Miss Violet Mclntyre, aged 27, spent seven hours in the water before being rescued by a motor launch off Moreton Bay. She had swum alone for five hours after her fiance, Mr. Frederick Burnett, aged 27, exhausted by the high waves, kissed her good-bye and sank. His body has not been recovered. When picked up Miss Mclntyre was delirious and half conscious.
