DR. ECKENER'S "DISGRACE"
ASSERTION iDF IGNORANCE ATTITUDE OF NEWSPAPERS (Received April 6, 6.45 p.m.) LONDON, April-6 The Berlin correspondent of the Times says it is not surprising that Dr. Hugo Eckener, commander of the airship Hindenburg, which has arrived at Rio de Janeiro, denies knowledge of his "disgrace," for the instructions to the German press not to mention him in connection with, the Hindenburg's transatlantic flight were given after the airship's departure. The newspapers continue to ignore him, although it isi rumoured that German correspondents abroad, ignorant of the ban, are sending cordial references to Dr. Eckener which do not appear in their newspapers. v
