EVENTS AT MORRINSVILLE [FROM OUII OWN CORRESPONDENT] MORRINSVILLE, Monday Tho Morrinsvillo Defence Rifle Club has concluded its annual competition for tho J. C. Allen Memorial Shield, which is contested under service conditions. Tho winner was W. McDonald, with a score of 128 out of a possible. 150. The conditions were as follows; Five rounds application and five rounds snap-shooting at 200 yds; 10 rounds rapid at 300 yds; and 10 rounds application at 500 yds. The principal scores wero as follows: W. McDonald, 23, 21, 39, 45—128; K. W. Grigsby, 21, 21. 39. 14—125; S. Logged, j 22, 19, 38, 43—122; N. Ferguson, 22, 20. 38, 41—121; P. C. Considering the windy weather, fair scores wero registered by members of the club in the shoot over ranges of 500 and 600 yards for the Leeson Championship Cup and the Arthur H. Monday The Whangarei Defence Rifle Club held a flhoot at the week-end in the rose bowl scries. Th<» light was dull, with a fresh left wind. W. Norris tied with J.
