JHE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE BANK OF NEW ZEALAND RISE Business was dull in the investment market on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, when operations were commenced for the week. Buying was restricted and values were irregular. The main feature of the banking section was thp recovery in New Zealands. An early advance by buyers resulted in a sale Is Id higher at 45s 3d. Commercials of Australia opened with a sale Id dearer at 20s Id, but later returned to the current price, 20s. Inquiry for other issues ' was weak. In the first sales since January Mosgiel Woollen dropped 12s 6d to £9 15s. •S'ew Zealand Breweries were lifted 6d to 525, but Tooths followed recent levels in the and dropped 6s 6d to 52s on the last transfer in November last year. In the miscellaneous group Australian Glass were placed 3d higher at 82s 3d. Broken Hill Proprietary were in demand at reduced levels and three transfers were made 3d .lower at 59s 6d. Colonial Sugars again sold at the reduced rate of £4l los./ Both Northern Boilers and Wilsons Cements sold unchanged. CLOSING QUOTATIONS
