OLYMPIC GAMES

NOMINATIONS ACCEPTED TWO CANTERBURY ATHLETES [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Monday By a large majority tho New Zealand Olympic Games Council to-night decided that the nominations of V. P. Boot and G. R. Giles, Canterbury, be accepted, and that they be included in the team for Berlin, provided the necessary finance was forthcoming from the national associations by April 20. It was felt tlio council would not be doing justice to Messrs. Boot and Giles if their nominations were not accepted, and, by adhering to the decision not to accept late nominations two men with excellent qualifications would bo omitted from the team.
