RACING IN ENGLAND MARCONI'S VICTORIES [from our own* correspondent] By Air Mail LONDON, March 14 The King's four-year-old gelding, Marconi, who was bred at Sandringham, and is leased to Lord Derby for the season, registered .a second victory during the fortnight by winning the National Hunt Juvenile Chase, a twomiles event, at Cheltenham this week. His previous win was at Birmingham, when over a similar distance he ran home with a lead of 25 lengths. For Cheltenham ho was fanced, but ho was not first favourite. The verdict on this occasion was a short head. In a field of 17, several fell and others did not finish. Fendragon, Morphine and Marconi never appeared to put a foot wrong, and there was little between them at the last fence. News of the victory was telephoned to the King from the course, His Majesty having expressed a desire to know tho result. " I hope wo shall have a few more jumpers for His Majesty next season," said Brigadier Tomkinson after Marconi's gallant victory.
