PIRATE SHIP
The Pirate Ship was crowded on Saturday night for the old-time carnival dance, " The Old Plantation." Tht» orchestral dais showed a midnight blue sky with a full harvest moon. The stage was flanked with moonlit cypress trees beneath which sat negro figures. The cubicles were decorated with cut-outs of negro faces which were later distributed among the guests. The Pirate Shin Band provided excellent music, featuring the darkie melodies and spirituals, which have so wide an appeal. A buffet supper was served, the tables being decorated with rases of pink lilies and ferns.
