FIRST SCRATCH MEETING [by telegraph OWN correspondent] OPOTIKI, Monday The first scratch meeting in the Bay of Plenty, comprising running, cycling, and also field events, was conducted 911 Saturday by the Opotiki Amateur Athletic Club in fine weather. The track waß heavy after rain overnight nnd on Saturday morning. The meeting was a great success, with a large attendance. A banner, presented by the Mayor. Mr. G. S. Moody, was won easily by Gisborne, with lIS points. Opotiki was second with 49 points, and Rotorua was third with -10. Results:— Ladies' IOOYds.—M. Snell fOpotiki); 1; J.
