BRITISH DESTROYER j DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING (Received February 25, 6.5 p.m.) LONDON. Feb. 24 The Daily Mail reports a further act of sabotage at Chatham. The minereleasing apparatus on board the destroyer Velox was put out of gear. Scotland Yard detectives severely questioned workmen engaged in refitting the vessel. The Admiralty refuses to make a statement on the matter. A cablegram from London on February 16 stated: The Admiralty reports that sabotage occurred on thecruiser Cumberland at Chatham. The act is believed to have affected the electrical equipment.
