H.M.S. LEITH'S CRUISE

VISIT TO CHATHAM ISLANDS BISHOP AS PASSENGER [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH. Tue.day H.M.S. Leith arrived at Lyttelton to-day from Wanganui. She will leave Akaroa on March 11 for the Chatham Islands, where she will remain a few days. This will be the first visit of a warship to the islands for many year». The Bishop of Christchurch, the lit. Rev. C. West-Watson, will travel in the Leith to the Chatham Islands, which form part of his diocese. From the Chatham Islands the sloop will proceed to Wellington, where she will be from March 19 to April 27, and she will return to Auckland on April 29.
