ENCOURAGEMENT IN BRITAIN British Wireless RUGBY. Feb. 23 The House of Commons on Friday carried by 201 votes to 121 tho second reading of tho Government's bill extending temporarily tho provisions of the Milk Act, 1934, which gave a subsidy in respect of inilk sold or used for manufacture, and also of, efforts to increase the demand for milk, including tho milk in schools scheme. The proposals are estimated to cost £2,500,000 in one case and a sum not exceeding £500,000 in the other.
