SALARY SHARING
THE GOVERNMENT'S PLAN DETAILS OF CHANGES [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION*] WELLINGTON, Saturday Some details of the Labour Party's salary-sharing scheme were announced to-day by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, who said no additional cost would bo placed on the Government. The actual sum at present provided 011 tho Civil List for the 54 Labour members and Ministers attached to the Government would bo shared, every member participating. The Prime Minister and other Ministers would take certain shares, the remaining members receiving a slightly less amount. The Prime Minister would receive a special allowance of £250 per annum for hospitality and entertainment purposes. The private incomes of members would be taken into account, Mr. Nash said. That readjustment means that tho Prime Minister actually receives £7OO less than the sum provided on the Civil List, and other Ministers from £4OO to £SOO ppr annum less. Tho incomes of ordinary members will bo increased by slightly more than £IOO per annum. The scheme "operates from April 1.
