Following were the results, Matamata names first:— Men's Singles.—Wentzel beat Kirk, 9—2; Keeley beat F. Livingstone, 9—5; Mcln tyre lost to Adams, 6—9; Neil beat F. Livingstone, sen., 9—B. Ladies' Singles.—Miss M. Beverley beat Mrs. Kirk, 7—l; Miss Hogg beat Mrs. Hilliar, 7—6; Miss W. Burke beat Miss Nicholls, 7—6: Miss D. Pickering beat Mrs. Fulton, 7—l. Men's Doubles.—Wentzel and Mclntyre lost to Kirk and Livingstone, jun., 5—9; Keeley and Neil beat Adams and Living stone, sen., 9—o Ladies' Doubles.—Misses Beverley and Burke beat Mesdames Kirk and Hilliar. 7—3; Misses Hogg and Pickering beat Mies Nicholls nud Mrs. Fulton, 7—5. MATCHES IN AUCKLAND FIFTH GRADE SEMI-FINAL The semi-final of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's fifth grade competition was played on Saturday afternoon, when each team won fivo matches, but Balmoral won by 12 sets to 10. Following were the results. West End names being given first:—Men's fiingles: J. Grant beat J. Stewart, 6—4, I—6, 6—4; N. Kingston beat O'Snllivan, 6—5, I—6, 6—5. Ladies' singles: Miss Jackson lost to Mrs. Stewart, 4—G, 3—6; Miss Williams lost to Mrs. tEltringham, 4—6, 5—6. Men's doubles: Grant and Kingston beat Stewart and O'Snllivan, 6—3 6—l ; O. Hair and E. Stottrr beat Sellers and Hicks, o—3, 6—3. Ladies' doubles: Misses Jackson and Williams lost, to Mes dames Stewart and Eltringhnm, 3—6, 4—6; Misses Gabites and Freeberg lost to Mesdames Huokstep and Pope, 2—6, I—6. Combined doubles: C. Hair and Miss Gabites lost, to Sellers and Mrs. Huck.itep, 5—6, 3—6; E. Stotter and Miss Freeberg beat Hicks and Mrs. Pope, 6—4, G—2.
