RACES IN PROVINCE [from herald correspondents] Whangarei.—The Whangnrei Cycle Racing Club held a race covering a distance of approximately six milos. nine competitors taking part, tho placed men finishing in a bunch after an excellent race. Following are the results:—l\ Beeston (ISs), 13m 58a, 1: T. Cldi'k (scr), 13m 475, 2; W. Beestcin (scr), 13m 47 2-ss, 3. The fastest time was recorded by T. Clark, 13m 475. OpotlKi.—A bicycle race from Opotiki t<J Otara School and back, approximately 12 miles, was held here, the result being;—E, Htofef, Bm, 1; P. Storer, 6m, 2; G. Bhal foon. 80s, 8. Time, 82m ISs. Fastast time, J. Rennie (scr), 31m 82s.
