Lyon, M.P.'s, returned from Wellington on Saturday. The Hon. H. G. R. Mason, Minister of Justice, returned from Wellington by train on Saturday morning. The Pit. Ht»n. J. G. Coates and Mrs. Coates, who have been visiting Auckland, returned to Dargaville yesterday. Dr. S. K. Phillips, a member of the Broadcasting Board, returned from Wellington by train on Saturday morning. Captain L. Vaughan Morgan, second naval member of the Naval Board, arrived in Auckland yesterday from Wellington. Mr. J. A. Lee, Parliamentary UnderSecretary to the Prime Minister, returned from Wellington on Saturday morning. The Hon. P. Fraser, Minister of Education, visited Hamilton and Cambridge on Saturday. He returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. A. J. Woods, M.A., headmaster of the Upper Hutt School, has been appointed inspector of schools for-the Nelson education district. Nesbitt, Australian Trade Commissioner, who has been visiting Kawau Island, returned to Auckland yesterday. He is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. L. K. Mtinro has been elected president, Sir. H. M. Rogerson vicepresident, and Mr. W. H. Cocker treasurer of the Auckland District Law Society. The Rev. W. V. Milne and Mrs. Milne, of the New- Zealand Presbyterian Mission in Nguna, New who are on short furlough, arrived from the South yesterday. Mr. W. Davidson, formerly manager of the Sembrong Rubber Estate in the State of Jahore, Malaya, has been appointed property manager for the tunfc oil plantation of Empire Tung Oil Products, Limited, in the Bay of Islands. The Rev. Dr. H. Ranston has been reappointed principal of the Methodist Theological College, Auckland, for a further period of six years from 1937» by the Methodist Conference at Christchurch.
