FILM OF NELSON'S LIFE
London Film Productions have announced that their national competition for suggestions from newspaper readers of suitable subjects for filming had been won by a reader of the Sunday Times living at Bournemouth. She suggested " Kandlords," a book by Paul Emden dealing with the rise of the South African mining magnates. The second prize was divided between a number of readers who suggested General Gordon, and the third prize among others who want to see an epic picture' about Lord Nelson. Actually the last desire is likely to be realised first. Mr. Alexander Korda is enthusiastic about the idea of filming Nelson's life, and will begin preparations for a picture as soon as Cyrano de Bergerac" is finished.
