A second edition of " The Savoy Stories," by Miss Evelyn Gatliff, comes appropriately from tho press at the opening in Auckland of the Gilbert and Sullivan opera season. Lamb's " Tales" have offered an easy introduction to Shakespeare for many children, and these stories do tho #amo sorvico for tho Savoy operas. Miss C.itliff has performed her task with skill and enthusiasm, a supporting feature being tho decorations by Mr. Wolfgang Cardamatis done in the Aubrey Beardsley stylo of the original Savoy Magazine.
