DEATH AT ICE CARNIVAL
A letter from the King, dated 1915, notifying her that her son had been killed in t-he war, was found in the handbag of a woman who recently became ill at an ico carnival at the Empire Pool, Wembley, and died soon afterwards. She was identified as Mrs. Hannah Mary Ann Crick, aged 66, of Kensal llise, and an appeal was broadcast through the loud-speakers at the pool for any relative to come forward.
About an hour later Mr. Crick arrived to meet his wife, as he had arranged, and learnt of the tragedy. It Is understood that death was due to heart failure.
