Notice is hereby given that the Central Waikato Electric-Power Board proposes to raise a Special Loan under 'the provisions of "The Electric-Power Boards' Act, 1925," "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926," and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectively, sanction as required by "The Local Government Loans Board Act, 192(1," having been obtained. The special area over which it is proposed to raise the loan comprises all those portions of the Central Wijikato ElectricPower'' District as defined by Orders-in-Council appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the Bth day of July, 1920, 7th day of September, 1922, 6th day of March, 1924, 7th day of August, 1924, Bth day of January, 1925, 3rd day of December, 1925, and Bth day of September, 1927, being the whole of the Central Waikato Electric-Power District with the exception of that portion of the County of Raglan included in the said District by Order-in-Council appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on 27th day of March, 1930. The purpose for which the loan is required is the construction and erection of transmission lines, transformer stations, and all fittings and appliances for conveying, transmitting or distributing electricity, including the purchase of all necessary land, buildings, material, plant and tools, and all payments for labour, engineer's fees, plans and supervision, and for compensation to owners of property in respect of such works in the special area aforesaid, guarantees as described in the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, being required to be first obtained to the extent of fifteen (15) per centum per annum for a period of five (5) years in respect of amounts of the loan to be expended on extensions to supply consumers. The sum which it is proposed to borrow is £50,000. It is proposed that the term for which the money is borrowed shall not exceed Twenty-five (25) years. It is proposed that the said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term of the loan, and payable in Zealand. The proposed seenrity for the payment of interest and the repayment of principal is a Special Rate of One-eighth of a penny (sd) in the pound on the rateable valut(on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the aforesaid special area. It is not proposed to pay the cost of raising the loan or nny portion of interest or of repayment of principal out of the loan. By Order of the Central Waikato Electric Power Board *H. J.
