TRAVEL CLUB TEA
The Auckland Travel Club held another of its successful morning tea parties for visitors in the Milne and Choyce Reception Hall yesterday, when Mr/ R. H. Nesbitt, Australian Trade Commissioner, addressed the members. His subject was "Reciprocity in Trade and Travel Between Australia and Now Zealand." Mr. Nesbitt concluded his speech with a plea for goodwill between the two countries. On the motion of Lady Wilson the spcakei waa accorded a vote of thanks. Mrs. J. T. F. Mitchell acted as hostess and welcomed Miss Winified Lawson, of the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, presenting her with a shoulder spray of pink carnations. Miss Lawson was introduced to the members ' and made a charming little speech. . The occasion was taken to bid iarowell to Mr. and Mrs. Noil Walker, who left for Sydney last night. Special references were mado to the work of Mrs. Walker, who was a member of the ladies' committee. She was presented with a bouquet, a copy of Ihe Greenstone Door" and a pair of handcarved greenstone napkin rinks.
