BUILDING IN WELLINGTON [llV TELEGItAI'H —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Friday The treasures in the Whitmore Street Art Gallery will soon be moved to the National Art Gallery at Mount Cook. This' afternoon tho old art gallery was offered for sale at auction. The bidding started at £7OOO, went to £BOOO, £BSOO and then by hundreds to £B9OO, after which two £SO bids wore taken, and tho building- and land were sole 1 , for £9OOO, three or four minutes after the bidding had commenced. Tho name of the purchaser was not disclosed.
