FORMER COLONIES

DEMAND FOR RECOVERY CAMPAIGN IN GERMANY LONDON, Feb. 19 A series of 100 lectures throughout Germany within a month, designed to rouse tho public to demand tho return of the former colonies, was inaugurated by Major Schoneckel, of tho Nazi Colonial Department, at Berlin University to-day. Tho lecturer described the League of Nations as a machine-gug. aimed toward Germany. A new League must be formed, not inspired by hate and mistrust, which would give Germany what she desired. The Powers must understand that no growing nation could do without colonies. Germany's demand for colonies was a matter of justice, for which her men were ready to fight. Another speaker declared that messages were frequently received from former colonies asking when Germany would rule them again.
