SEALING CONTRACT LET [from oun OWN correspondent] MATAMATA, Monday A contract for the rosea ling of the Putaruru-Arapuni main highway was let by the Matamata County Council on Saturday for £2302 10s, or about 7Jd a squaro yard. Tlie section of the main highway between Ngutumera Bridge and To Rere Road is now in order for scaling and the authority of the Main Highways Board for the letting of the contract is awaited. v s Tho engineer's report stated that blasting operations at tho council's metal quarry had caused damage to adjoining works. On tho advice of the inspector of quarries, who was present at the time, electrical firing appliances are being obtained.
