RACES AT ONEHUNGA
NEXT WEEK'S PROGRAMME
Tho race meeting which had been arranged several weeks ago by the New Zealand Motor Racing Drivers' Association but was postponed on account of ram, will be held next Saturday at Gloucester Park, Onehunga. The track i* now in excellent condition and it rs likely that some fast times wiU bo registered. Provided that conditions are suitable, an attempt will bo made by G. Smith, driving the supercharged Austin Seven, to establish a lap record. Drivers who will be competing include G. Smith (Austin Seven), R. A. Dexter (Brooklands Riley), T. Cooper (Essex), G. Mathieson (Miller Special) and A. Smith (Essex). The eight scheduled events will include a race for stock cars, in which many leading makes will be represented. A novelty event will be a special match race between two of the latest broadsiding midget cars, driven by Smith and Mathieson.
