SCOTTISH BY-ELECTIONS MR. MacDONALD AND SON LONDON. Feb. 1 Polling, which took place by post, closed yesterday in the Scottish Universities by-election in which Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald endeavoured to regain his seat in the House of Commons. The declaration of the poll will be made on Monday. Four candidates have been nominated for the Ross and Cromarty byelection. They are:— Mr. Malcolm Mac Donald (National < Government). Mr. Randolph Churchill (Conservative) . Mr. Hector McNeil (Labour). Dr. W. S. Russel Thomas (Liberal). Polling will take place on February 10.
