OLD-TIME WRESTLING Followers of tho sport of wrestling probably will be surprised to hear that matches for sums as large as £SO a side were held half a century ago. The New Zealand Herald of February 3, ISB6, stated: — "A wrestling match, Cumberland style, for £SO a-side, came off at Christchurch last night between Harry Dunn and George Robinson, and resulted in favour of the former, who gained threo falls of five. Dunn now announces that h 9 is willing to wrestle any man in New Zealand for £SO or £IOO a-side."
