HOLIDAY MAKE-UP

When travelling on holiday, remember these tips about make-up, which will enable you to step out of oyur train or car looking cool and soignee. A cream rouge stays on better than a dry one, and the best way of applying ft is to put just a little foundation cream or lotion on first. Smooth the rouge,in on top, then lightly apply the foundation again. The second applicatieon makes a thin film which keeps the rouge in place and gives an •attractive finish.

Before putting on powder, do not forget one' of the most useful of all beauty preparations, a lotion specially made for preventing the nose from shining. Lipsticks have a way of smudging on a journey. The best way of guarding against this is to use an indelible one that will stay where it is put. Apply it with the tip of the little finger, smooth it well in, and then powder very lightly on top of it and apply it a second time. This makes the indelibity doubly safe, and (should you partake of a meal on the way), drinkproof and eat-proof.
