UNITED CROQUET CLUB

A pleasant function took place in the pavilion of tho United Croquet Club 011 Wednesday, when the members met to farewell Mrs. Oswald and Miss Brown, who are leaving shortly for England. Mrs. Powley, the president, presented the guests of honour each with a suede bag and book folder embossed with designs of native llora. Mrs. Oswald suitably replied on behalf of Miss Brown and herself. Mr. Morton, on behalf of tho members, expressed great regret at losing such efficient officers. After tea had been served progressive croquet was played, the prize-winners being:—A, Mrs. Croxford; B, Mrs. Bolitho.
