MAN SENT TO PRISON
SOCKS STOLEN FROM SHOP "Since November, accused has been in the habit of stealing socks from a city shop, and selling them to dealers," said Senior-Sergeant Hall in the Police Court yesterday, when Harold James Landon Sims, aged 61, appeared before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M. Accused .admitted two charges of stealing socks, of a total value of £2 4s. The magistrate imposed a sentence of a week's imprisonment on the first charge, and a term of three weeks on the second.
