THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL

The Governor-General. Viscount Galway, and Viscountess Galway, paid a visit to the Waikato Children's Welfare League's camp at Port Waikato on Saturday, and returned to Auckland in the evening. They had no official engagements yesterday. A dinner will be held m the ballroom of Government Houston January 30, following which of New Year Honours will be made. Baroness Burton, of Burton-ou-Trent. England, accompanied by her husband, Major Melles, will arrive by the Monowai to-morrow on a visit to Their Excellencies. They will stay at the Grand Hotel. They will leave for a week's fishing at Taupo on Thursday.
