REVOLVER IN COURT
LAWYER KILLS RIVAL SHOTS FIRED AT JUDGE SCENE OF WILD CONFUSION (Received January 14, 5.5 p.m.) CHICAGO. Jan. 13 Infuriated by an adverse ruling from the Bench, John Keogh, a veteran practising attorney, calmly drew a in Court to-day and killed a rival attorney, Christopher Kinney. Then he fired three times at the presiding Judge, narrowly missing him. There was wild confusion in Court, spectators and attendants dropping to tlie floor. The Judge dropped behind the bench and crawled on his hands and knees to the safety of his chambers. When Keogli was arrested he said he was not sorry for his action. He hoped it would create enough publicity to prove his point, which involved litigation about a real estate mortgage. " I did it as a soldier, not as a murderer," he said.
