HEAD-ON COLLISION
THREE PEOPLE INJURED CONSTABLE IN HOSPITAL CARS EXTENSIVELY DAMAGED [by telegraph OWN correspondent] TE AROHA, Tuesday Three people suffered injury when two motor-cars were involved in a head-on collision on the HamiltonThames main highway at Waitoa about seven o'clock this evening. The injured are:— Mr. R. Mclndoe, farmer, of Waitoa, severe leg injuries!. Mr. M. Reed, of Ngatea, severe facial injuries. Constable Ilushton, of Thames Police Station, injuries to hands and left knee. Constable Ilushton and Mr. Reed were in one car proceeding toward Thames, the other car being driven by Mr. Mclndoe, who was accompanied by his wife, two children and a young woman. With the exception of Mr. Mclndoe the occupants of the second car escaped wibh minor cuts. After receiving medical attention Mr. Reed and Constable Rushton were conveyed to the Thames Hospital in the Te Aroha ambulance, and Mr. Mclndoe was taken to the Hamilton Hospital. Both vehicles were damaged extensively. At the time of the accident risibility was very poor.
