VISIT TO HOKIANGA [by telegram—OWN correspondent] RAWENE, Tuesday A communication was received by the ifokianga. Harbour Board to-day from the captain of 11.M.5. Leith, who stated that a visit would bo paid to Hokianga on Friday, January 31. The vessel would remain for five days. The chairman, Mr. A. C. Yarborough, stated that it was 40 years sinc« a warship had visited Hokianga. The board was unanimous in* the opinion that a general programme should be arranged to entertain the officers and men. A meeting of local bodies will be called for the purpose. It is proposed to hold a sports meeting and ba!U and also to convey the officers to the Ninety Mile Beach and Waipoua forest.
