VISIT BY POLICE
STUDENTS ASTONISHED LINCOLN COLLEGE INCIDENT Students of the Canterbury Agricultural College, who held their end-of-year dinner at the college, Lincoln, last Monday night, were astonished to find that a party of police was on the premises while the celebration was in progress, states the Christchurch StarSun. The police did not actually attend the dinner, but the news of their presence soon spread throughout the college. The police made a very unobtrusive party, however, and thern was nothing in the conduct of the dinner or the subsequent, social gathering to interest thorn professionally. In the course of the evening, a presentation was made to Professor R. E. Alexander and Mrs. Alexander by the staff and students.
