MILFORD SOUND CRUISE
HOLIDAY TRIP BY MONOWAI The opportunity of seeing the beauties of Milford Sound from the seaward aspect will be offered shortly when a trip of five days' duration will be made by the liner Monowai. The entrance into the Sound from the outer ocean threads its way between high rock walls until the Lion and the Mitre, the Pembroke Peak glacier, the Stirlinc and Bowen Falls and tTie masP lr ® mountain gradually unfold. The magnificence of the Sound ana the grey level of tho &ea outside form a sharp contrast. The Monowai will leave Wellington on the evening of February 4 and will arrive back on February 8. The first day will be spent on the trip down the coast, when glorious views will be obtained of the mountains. The next day will be passed in the Sound and the i-eturn will commence on tho same evening. Pelorus Sound will be reached on the following day, when a gala night? will bo arranged in Tennyson Inlet. Deck Bports, dancing, talking pictures and other shipboard pastimes will be held, and there, will be a fancy dress dinner and ball for a finale. Further oet&il? of the trip are advertised. !•:
