AUCKLANDER'S SKETCHES
PUBLICATION IN LONDON The work of a former Auuklandor, Mr. K. G. it. Bloomfiold, who 4ms studied art in England for a number of years, is reproduced in two pages of coloured drawings in the Christmas number of The Sketch, a London publication. Tlio subjects comprise caricatures of prominent personalities in England. Those who have been captured by Mr. Bloomfield's sketches include Sir Thomas Beecham, Mr. Noel Coward, Mr. A. P. Herbert, Mr. J. B. Priestley and Air. Cecil Beaton. There is a distinctive stylo in the artist's work, which in each case has seized upon a particular feature for sketching. Mr. Bloomfiold- is n son of Mrs, G. It. Blooiniiold, of VVhatatutu, Gisborno.
