FIRE BRIGADE CONTESTS
NORTH SHORE EVENTS The annuat demonstration of the combined fire brigadea of the North Shore wag held on Saturday afternoon at the municipal sports ground at Northcote. The visiting firemen were welcomed by Captain W. P. Robert*. At the conclusion of the competitions, the various cups and trophies were presented to the winners by the Mayor of Northcote, Mr. R. Martin. Results were Fletcher Cup, two men hose and standpipe.—Birkenhead, 435, 1; Devonport. 43 l-ss, 2; Northcote, 44 2-ss, 8; Takapuua. 525. 4. - Takapuna Cup, three men disabled hose event.—Devonport, 545. 1: Birkenhead, 565, 2.
Marine Suburbs Cup, four men modern motor event.—Devonport. 51s, 1; Takapuna, 555, 2; Northcote, 55 4-ss, 3; Birkenhead. GOs, 4. Separate events held by the Northcotc Brigade resulted:—W. C.
