Nov. 8 Correspondents in Northern Abyssinia report that the Italians entered Makale at 9 a.m. to-day. Their forces on the previous night had occupied dominating positions. " The Italians saw nothing of the main body of the enemy, who had abandoned a line of fortified posts at Wogoro and Anibas Alama, after having lost 500 prisoners in sharp fighting in which Italian cavalry was conspicuous. At dawn, however, there was no sin" of tti«: defenders. A brigade of infantry, a regiment of Bersngliori and a detachment of Gugsa's native traitors entered the town unopposed. They hoisted a tricolour on the Imperial Palace. Makalo was the capital of Gugsa's former domain.
