Villius was sold at auction to-day for 925gns. to P. T. Heywood. Spartan was sold to F. W. Hoysted for 725gns. The New Zealand horse Bachelor's Song was sold for 120gns to Mrs. Absolom.

The racehorses Peter Pan and Master Brierly are being spelled in Victoria. At Fiemington to-day Clear Art ran five furlongs on the tan in 1.5 J. Turbine wont naif a mile in 53$s, and Roussoy accomplished a similar task. McTavish in the Parahaki Handicap, the Inst race on yesterday's programme of ithe Wharlgaroi Racing Club's mooting. Ho struck his leg on tho rail and his boot was wronched off by the impact. Although uo bones were broken it is doubtful whether he will ride tomorrow. McTavish was riding Green Patch, who had a good position until the accident, when he fell back.
