RUGBY FOOTBALL
MANUKAU CLUB'S SUCCESS The Foresters' Theatre, Onehunga, was crowded with members and Biipporters of the Manukaii Rovers Rugby Football Club on the occasion of the club's annual ball and presentation of trophies. The president, Mr. W. Kirkham, expressed his appreciation of the active support accorded the club by the public of Onehunga, H,e also announced that the debt on the recently-enlarged clubhouse had been entirely paid off and that the club, both financially and numerically, was in a very flourishing condition. Among thpse present were Messrs. H. Frost. A. A. Baker and T. W. Maben. representing the Auckland Rugby Union, and Mr. A. Williams, chairman of the Referees' Association, together with representatives of numerous Rugby football clubs. The Silver football trophy of the Auckland Rugby Union was presented by the chairman of the management committee. Mr. A. A. Baker. Mr. H. Frost presented the i Bert Palmer Memorial Cup to the captain of the junior C team. Various other trophies were also presented.
