REMUERA INTERESTS

RATEPAYERS' ASSOCIATION The annual meeting of the Remuera East Ratepayers' Association was hold on Thursday. The meeting accorded full support to tho association's scheme for the construction of a direct traffic route via the proposed eastern outlet from tho city, to tho airport to be constructed at Point England. Tbe following officers wero elected:President, Mr. G. T. Murray; vicepresident, Mr. P. D. Wright; secretary, Mr. J. L. H. Kayes; executive, Sir Joseph Smith and Messrs. J. E. Barton, E. S. Mobs, V. 11. Dearsly, H. E. Jones, W. Skegg and 11. G. Slyfield. A lecture was delivered by Mr. Graham 8011, on " Aviation and Airw ports."
