SHOW AT HAWERA
fciome magnificent livestock will be on display at tile annual show of the Egmont Agricultural and Pastoral Association, to bo held at Hawera on Wednesday, November 20, and Thursday, November 21. Every inducement has been given to exhibitors in the various sections by way of prize-money and valuable trophies, the total amount to be offered,in cash and trophies to be won outright being £1250. This compares more than favourably with the leading metropolitan shows of the Dominion. The Arundel gold cup, valued at 100 guineas, for the most points in purebred sections—battle, horses, sheep and pigs—will be offered for competition for the first time. The harness section includes the usual classes, but followers of the light, harness horse have been given a great opportunity in the three trotting events, for which trophies of a total value of 32 guineas have been donated as first prizes, with cash prizes for the minor placings.
