REQUEST FROM KAITAIA [by telegbaph—OWN cobbespondent] WHANGABEI, Friday Tho need for the earlier arrival of the' Auckland maita at Kaitaia and other northern centres was emphasised by the Kaitaia Chamber of Commerce in a letter to the Whangarei Chamber on Wednesday. The letter asked for the assistance of the Whangarei Chamber in the matter. At present the mail reaches Kaitaia in the evening and, although sorted on arrival, ia not usually collected by business men until the following morning, after the outward mail has gone It is desired that the inward mail should arrive early in the afternoon so that replies can be sent by the return mail.

It was decided that the chamber give tho Kaitaia Chamber every support, and that the matter be left to tho railway committee.
