STRIKE BALLOT NEXT WEEKFEDERATION'S ATTITUDE (Received November 7, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Not. 6 The Mine Workers' Federation has declined to reconsider its decision to take a strike ballot next week. This was announced after the federation had examined a communication made by tho Secretary for Mines to the effect that, as a result of the undertaking given by the colliery owners that selling organisations would be set up in every district before next July, uneconomic competition in the home maiv ket would be eliminated, thus permitting higher wages to be paid.
